I don’t think I have ever published anything about large format on this blog apart from the DIY bellows cover I did 7 months ago. Well, I would like to talk a little bit more about it in the next few posts.
I have two 4×5 cameras – an Omega 45E, as well as a Tachihara 4×5. I also have an old 8×10 Eastman View No.2 (Improved) camera, which I got for almost nothing on eBay. Recently, I’ve been taking quite a few Polaroid images using my 4×5’s, and I thought I would like to share more about the wonderful world of LF to you guys (if anyone is reading, that is).
This is not an actual post, but more of a heads-up. Oh, and by the way, I am typing this from my new Macbook Air. I am so ashamed of it (because I am supposed to be a PC/Android/Linux guy) that I’ve not told anyone else about it yet. All I can say is that Apple makes pretty products, and I am as much an engineer as I am an aesthete. 🙂
P.S. Does anyone need a netbook? I have one for sale here!

I would LOVE to hear more about LF, and see your images! I recently bought a Wista 45DX and have sofar just taken a few images, and I can’t wait to use it again, but the light is bad here and it is just raining…. I think I have fallen in love with LF…..
Hope to see more of your LF soon! 🙂

Thanks! I have been actively trying to learn more. Unfortunately many of my shots have not even been processed (it’s tough developing 4×5, not to mention 8×10 film). That’ll change soon as I just ordered a processing kit from BTZS. Should be fun.

Yes, tell me about it, hehe… Just made some very embarrassing mistake with the development myself… 😉 but it is very rewarding to learn and try. Can only be better, huh? 😉
