This is long overdue, but I used a few rolls of Shanghai 120 film a year ago, and here are a few thoughts:

  1. The film itself is decent enough, though it is very ‘curly’ – almost impossible to load onto my plastic AND steel reels without kinks.

Shanghai GP3 with Ricohflex VI – the cheapest TLR combination ever!

  2. The paper backing is crap.  In fact, worse than crap.  I had two rolls of film that I shot and did not develop for months (7-8 months, perhaps?) and there was some weird ink transfer from the letters on the paper backing to the film.  In the end, all the frames look super dark, and had the frame numbers (of the backing paper) emblazoned onto the images.  What?!
