I have been adding street photographers to my Flickr contact list recently, and I made it a point to add people whose street photos I can identify with — those that say something about life in the place where the picture is taken, be it whimsical or sombre.  I did not make any attempts to add people from either gender, and I realize today that an overwhelming number of my contacts are actually male.  Is there something about street that attracts men?  Perhaps it is the raw voyeuristic nature of the act of grabbing a scene of the street; or perhaps ladies just aren’t quite as fond of confrontation as men.  Whatever it is, I thought maybe I will add a poll here on my blog.  Now, this blog is not exactly popular, so I just wonder how many hits I will get.  Nonetheless, here it is:
